The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house which has a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined residence earnings isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African my nsfas citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South nsfas status check African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan read more to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
